About us

Lande Marine was founded in 2010 by Dutch Zwaardvis and German Pörtner Seats. These firms have been working closely together since the 1970s. Both companies produce helm seats, helm seat pedestals and table pedestals for recreational and professional shipping. Zwaardvis also operates as a supplier of table bases for caravans, motor homes and commercial vehicles. Pörtner Seats also supplies seating for casinos.

Lande Marine manufactures the vast majority of its products itself. Swordfish specialises in metalworking, powder coating, lacquering and moulded foam products, with moulded foam moulds also manufactured in-house. Pörtner Seats manufactures and upholsters the seating elements and completes the products with the Zwaardvis base. Lande Marine products are produced both in series and customer-specified individual pieces. The products are distributed worldwide.

Business philosophy

Swordfish and Pörtner Seats are both 2nd and 3rd generation family businesses. Quality, reliability and ergonomic design take priority over fashionable trends. A well-equipped parts and repair department is available for all products, often also for old models. Customer-specific products are also developed and produced in consultation with the customer. Lande Marine always strives to be an expert partner for the development and production of helm seats, helm seat pedestals and table pedestals.
